Melanie, I’m doing something similar to this in Colombia. Although I still haven’t figured out the line between naturally taking pictures of people and being evasive. I’m still a bit novice when it comes to photography. But I love it. Pictures of the local people capture something that tourist attractions just can’t. The faces reveal more about the character and energy of a place than any landmark can. It’s priceless.
