Last week, I shared a post on Facebook about a brave new direction I’m journeying into — coaching. Specifically, helping people who have big dreams of becoming first-time authors.
This was monumental for a few reasons:
- Since returning from Colombia to the States, I’ve struggled with finding my footing career-wise. Teaching and writing just haven’t been enough lately — for my heart and pockets. Also, I’ve been wrestling with a new book idea for a while now. But it’s far too early to even think about promoting. So, what are the odds that I’ve merged these three ideas — teaching, writing, and books — to venture into a bold new direction? I don’t believe in coincidence.
- Before 2017 started, I’d deactivated my Facebook account and had sworn it off indefinitely. My distaste for not only the company but what my social feed become was enough to make me quit. I didn’t see the point in staying. But venturing into a new career gave me new eyes. Truth: I really don’t care for Facebook but I do care for the people on it. And I need to reach them. This outlook will shape how I use Facebook from now on. So, now I’m using this tool to reach out to my existing network first, to help people I already know. This is the easiest and smartest method to launching anything new and unfamiliar.
I will be coaching people on how to plan, write, and complete their book, every step of the way. This dream has been on my heart for some time, and I cannot wait for the work to unfold.
I’m inviting you along for this journey. But first, before we get started, let’s have a conversation. See my offer below (and click ‘See More’):
